OnePlus 8T-test: a Revolution in Charging, But Not Only
The original idea of OnePlus was simple: it was to make a smartphone and a single smartphone, the so-called “ flagship killer ”, a device with the fastest processor on the market for a price much lower than that of other flagships. Today, the world of OnePlus is a little different. It does not sell one, nor two, but six different smartphones. Trying to choose the right OnePlus smartphone is a bit difficult, and the new OnePlus 8T brings even more uncertainties on which to buy.
OnePlus Universe
So … in the OnePlus universe, the new OnePlus 8T is a bit cheaper than the company’s flagship, the OnePlus 8 Pro, which it launched last April, and it’s also a bit more expensive than the OnePlus. 8, a smartphone of almost identical size and specifications. It’s a funny tradeoff: The OnePlus 8T does have the 8 Pro’s fast 120Hz refresh rate, but it lacks its camera setup. It’s also equipped with a flat-screen, while the 8 and 8 Pro both have a curved screen. And to complicate matters further, it adds a revolutionary new charging system that no other OnePlus smartphone has so far.

OnePlus 8T: Design
OnePlus smartphones have a distinct appearance, but while the OnePlus 8T looks a lot like an OnePlus smartphone, there are a few design changes here that set it apart from the older smartphones in the line. The OnePlus 8T is a big smartphone, but reasonably big. It’s the size of the Galaxy S20 +, difficult to grip with one hand, but pleasant. It’s not as big as the S20 Ultra or Note 20 Ultra, two smartphones that go to extremes and barely fit in a pocket. The OnePlus 8T seems to be a great fit for lovers of big smartphones, but I would really like the OnePlus to make it a more compact smartphone because that’s what is currently lacking in the range.
