CES 2021: LG Announces Stunning 4K OLED Display For Professionals!!

LG announced a new entry to its premium UltraFine monitor line, the LG UltraFine OLED Pro, as part of the company’s announcements at CES 2021. LG is presenting this new monitor primarily for use by creative professionals, as you can see in LG’s video on this new display.

LG UltraFine OLED Pro

The LG UltraFine OLED Pro is a 31.5-inch display with 4K resolution, and LG says the screen has individual dimming for its over 8 million pixels. The display covers 99% of the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color spectrum and has a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1, according to the LG video. These are the key factors for color accuracy and content creation.

LG’s intro video for the monitor shows it in a wide range of scenarios, including video and photo editing studios, as well as 3D design and creation. As an OLED monitor, the LG UltraFine OLED Pro will also display more accurate colors than traditional LCD panels. LG’s video highlights the individual gradation of each pixel, and “Scene Perfect with OLED HDR Pixel Gradation” technology.

And, the display has a good number of ports, including a USB-C port with a 90-watt power supply, two DisplayPorts, three USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. LG has yet to reveal the release date or price for the UltraFine OLED Pro.

But that’s not the first monitor LG announced at CES 2021. The company also released a new 34-inch 160Hz ultra-wide gaming display, the LG UltraGear 27GP950. High refresh rate 4K gaming monitors are finally possible, thanks to the next generation of PC graphics. The LG UltraGear monitor also supports HDMI 2.1, according to PCGamer, which enables variable refresh rates, dynamic HDR, and quick media switching.
